Terms and Conditions of Enrolment

  • Fees are paid in advance for 10 lessons in each term, in accordance with the Victorian Department of Education and Training school term dates.

  • Refunds will not be given under any circumstances.

  • All fees must be paid by the end of the 1st week of each term.

  • Payment secures the reservation of your exclusive lesson time for the entire term.

  • Any interruptions to the term's lessons (such as school camps, concerts, family holidays, etc) should be notified in writing before the start of the term, so that correct invoicing can be arranged to accommodate this. Refunds will not be given.

  • Extended family holidays (more than 4 weeks) may result in the student losing their preferred time slot.

  • Lessons are not offered on public holidays.

  • All lesson times need to be renegotiated prior the start of each calendar year.

  • Permanent cancellation of lessons must be given in writing 2 weeks prior to cessation. Refunds will not be given.

  • Students will not attend classes if they are unwell.

  • Temporary online lessons are available for students who have a cold, respiratory virus or are otherwise unwell at the student's usual lesson time.

  • 24 hours must be given if the parent would like a make-up lesson when the student is unwell. Make-up lessons will not be offered and the lesson fee will be forfeited if less than 24 hours notice of non-attendance is given.

  • There will be a maximum of two make-up lessons in any one term

  • The teacher will not conduct classes if she is unwell herself but will offer makeup classes during the term or school holidays. Alternatively, a credit may be given for the subsequent term.

  • Parents should remain on the studio premises at all times whilst the student is attending their lesson.

  • Whilst the teacher will make every effort to improve the knowledge and ability of her students, a student cannot be expected to improve and make progress unless he or she fully co-operates with the teacher and in particular adheres to the practice sessions at home as advised by the teacher.

  • Students must behave courteously and appropriately at all times during lessons and when on the studio premises. Inappropriate behaviour will not be accepted and will result in cancellation of all lessons without refund.

  • All students should arrive punctually in time for their lesson

  • Any allergies should be notified to the teacher before lessons commence.

  • The studio has resident pets, so regretfully lessons at the Lilydale studio can not be offered to students who have an allergy to dogs or cats. Online lessons may be an appropriate alternative for students with pet allergies.
